The Language Center of Fu Jen Catholic University is one of the oldest non-degree Chinese language learning centers in Taiwan. Established in 1964 under the direction of then president Cardinal Paul Yupin, it was recognized by the ROC Ministry of Education in 1969.

The Language Center offers a variety of regular and special courses designed to meet the basic Chinese language learning needs and special Chinese cultural interests of the students. Classes are organized into three levels of proficiency- elementary, intermediate and advanced- and cover the four language skill areas: speaking, listening, reading and writing.
